My spirit name is Blue Thunderbird Woman 

My clan is bear and I am from Manitou Rapids 

My English name is Kim Blackburde Moore and I currently reside in Selkirk, Manitoba. 

My business is called Mashkiki Pure Essentials, and I would like to tell you about my journey. Mashkiki means strength of the earth or medicine in Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe). We chose to use this in our business name to honor our medicines and how our ancestors would have used medicines to heal their bodies. We offer products that have medicinal properties to help your body heal in many different aspects. I travelled to Peru in July 2023, and I learned how to incorporate traditional medicines into my daily life through traditional Indigenous practices. This experience paved the way for creating our products that we are offering today. My background as a teacher for 26 years has allowed me to teach about medicines in different settings and my experience with Peruvian elders prompted me to learn more about medicines and help in offering you products that we are extremely proud of. Each product offers a unique set of ingredients that will assist in your healing journey. As a second-generation Residential School Survivor, I recognize that our communities need healing. I hope that our products will be able to help people Indigenous and non-Indigenous to learn how to heal and that we need to nurture our bodies with various components of aiding in healing- physically, spiritually and mentally.
